About the Role
As a CLASS Office Assistant, you play a direct role in ensuring waiver services are provided in a timely and respectful manner. CLASS provides home- and community-based services to people with related conditions as a cost-effective alternative to placement in an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability or a related condition. A related condition is a disability, other than an intellectual disability, that originated before age 22 and that affects a person's ability to function in daily life.Job Type: Contract Position leading to Full-time (90 to 120 days of probation period)
Pay: $16.00 hourly

Schedule: 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and colleagues to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, information, answer questions, and provide exceptional service as required.
Properly handle guest complaints and/or concerns.
Monitor the delivery of ALL waiver and non-waiver services.
Complete all annual, revision, monthly notes by 25th of each month.
Assist participant with community resources that are not provided through waiver program.
Ensure Medicaid is active monthly for each participant.
Assist in answering questions concerning Medicaid and assist participant regain Medicaid if loss.
Schedule quarterly meetings.
Communicate with participant/LAR for monthly contact.
Participate in team meetings and trainings with Begins With You Case Management, Incorporated.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma
Valid/Current Driver's License
Ability to travel up to 90% of the time
Ability to work overtime as needed
a high school diploma and four years' work experience in the delivery of services and supports to persons with related conditions or similar disabilities; or
(i) a high school diploma and four years' work experience in the delivery of services and supports to persons with related conditions or similar disabilities; or
(ii) a high school equivalency certificate issued in accordance with the law of the issuing state and four years' work experience in the delivery of services and supports to persons with related conditions or similar disabilities;
(2) is an employee of the CMA;
(3) is not employed by or contracting with a DSA to provide a direct service to an individual served by the CMA
* This position will work primarily from the office but occasionally from home.
* Must reside in the Houston catchment area, proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office, DocuSign and have reliable transportation.
